On May 26, 2025, Dr. Derrick Lemons presented information about the CTEA and our budding research projects to conference participants at the 10th Annual Symposium on Religion and Theology hosted by the Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER). In the "other Athens," he had the opportunity to meet up with Dr. Hannah Howard, the incoming Associate Director of the Center and Postdoctoral Fellow in the UGA Religion Department, whose research is based in Athens. Dr. Howard spent multiple years working with charitable organizations of the Orthodox Church of Greece to better understand the theological missions that drive their political activism.
