Image: Hannah Grace Howard, a PhD Candidate at Boston University and a researcher in theologically engaged anthropology, won this year's Student Paper Prize from the Society for the Anthropology of Religion. Her paper, "The Liturgical Life of Parish Kitchens: Charity and Theological Selving in Greek Orthodox Aid Spaces," considers the theological structures that guide women's participation in church social kitchens in Athens, Greece. The award was presented at the annual meeting of the American Anthropological Association in Tampa, FL. Everyone at the CTEA is pleased to see increasing recognition for research of this kind.
